Log Hill Volunteer Fire Department

Facilities - Station 1

Station 1Station 1 is located at 3245 County Road 22. The original building at that location was built between 1976 and 1977. This building contains two bays to park fire trucks, a training room, kitchen, and restroom. It has served the community well and is still in service after receiving a facelift in 2007 with a new coating of metal siding. This building served as the main training facility until 2008 when most training was moved to Station 2. Many early Log Hill residents have fond memories of the community socials and fund raisers which were held in this building.

Station 1's second building was completed in 2001. It was originally designed to house three fire trucks. In the years since its completion, it was redesigned to house four fire trucks. It has a compressor which maintains the vehicle’s air brakes so they are ready to move at a minute’s notice. There are also restroom facilities with a shower. In recent years it has been the site for the annual Fortuna Tierra picnic which allows residents to socialize in the late summer.
